He huffed. “You probably think it’s killing people. It ain’t. I’ve done that, sure, who hasn’t? But, that’s not my worst, and, I’m a little puzzled why you’d think my worst would come up again....”

"Perhaps he does not," a new voice said, "But I do, Seer." The voice voice belonged to a what looked to be and seemed to be another demon. He was a little closer to the typical mortal expectation, given his wings. He had a single long horn at the center of his head that spiked up, more like a knife than like a unicorn horn. His arms were crossed. "He is a demon and as such belongs to the lord of ****. What could any Deegan offer to one such as him that I could not?" he sneered.
Dominic leaned back, as if unconcerned. "Karnak," he said, his voice for the one word revealing that he wasn't relaxed. there was coldness there and anger, but he cleared it by his next words. "Choice, for one. Honesty. Oh and... companionship."
"You think any demon wishes to hang out with you?" Karnak sneered. "Do not make me laugh."
"Oh... not me..."
Quilt came jogging up. "Dex said you wanted to talk to me, Dominic?" He saw them and blinked, "Whoa. who is that and did they plan to come here or are they just... winging it?"
“S’up, Rarity?” Beetlejuice yawned, giving the other demon a finger-waggle wave. “Hate to interrupt, but, I don’t ‘belong’ to anyone. Although, I’m sure friendship with you would be all kinds of magical.”
He set his feet back on the floor, as the new guy entered the room and spoke.
Beetlejuice snapped his fingers and a pair of striped bats appeared, circling the room.
“Heya, fella. Mostly winging it, coming up with stuff on the fly.”
"The recently dead don't need a guide, they are prey. And yes, if you are my lieutenant you will be called upon to kill. I have a few ideas of who you could start with..." Karnak snarled.
“Also, I dunno who you spoke to, but, I’m a General. And hold up, no, the recently deceased are just baby ghosts and they usually need someone to show ‘em the ropes.”
"Those who coddle the new souls will be devoured by them, or by those who have come to the feast," Karnak growled. "You are mine to command, and you will obey me."
"Guess he thinks that's knot the way," Quilt said. "His temper is starting to fray"
"I love when new friends pop up!" Quilt said, happily taking some.
Karnak turned, oddly not to glare at BJ but at Dominic. "How are you blocking my powers, Seer? He belongs to me."
"Perhaps. If you can hold him. But as you may recall I've had a fair number of run ins with demons and Infernomancers of late. What part of who my parents are made you think I wouldn't have researched how exactly to handle the situation here when I saw it coming."
"Your mother's intelligence ruined by the smug arrogance of your father's despicable personality. I should slay you where you stand, mortal."
"Actually," Dominic said, unconcerned seeming as he poured himself some more tea, "I am sitting."

He found his attempt to possess the other demon was unsuccessful, so, contented himself with making a small cloud of glitter follow the guy instead.
